I’m honestly overwhelmed by the responses I received for my Weekend Planner edition. From getting tagged at random Facebook posts, to WhatsApp messages, to retweets to even word of mouth appreciation- trust me when I say that I’m deeply humbled and am glad I could provide solutions for your stomach gurgles.

Get the richness of Punjab and succulent flavours of Bengal under one roof as Saffron celebrates the festivities of Baisakhi and Poila Boisakh with a special A la carte menu for lunch and dinner. The 10 day extravaganza will see separate Punjabi and Bengali menus respectively. While the Punjabi menu incorporates delights like the Amritsari Macchi, Rahra Gosht, Pindi Chana and Aloo Masaley Da Pulao; the Bengali flavours include the likes of Chhena Kasundi Paturi, Samudri Pabda Macher Jhal, Mochar Ghonto, Topse Maach Bhaja, among others.  If mix and match is more your thing, you could even customize your own thali. While lunch commences from 12:30pm- 3:30 pm; dinner begins from 7pm and stretched till 11pm.

Poila Boishak is the realisation and manifestation of an ardent dream as it marks the 12th anniversary of the Stadel. The four star property therefore ensures there is double reason to celebrate with an A la Carte menu to mark the celebrations. The menu caters to both Indian as well as Chinese vegetarian and non vegetarian variants to choose from.

Bengali New Year Week, Durbari, Swissotel (April 14- April 20)

The Swissotel rings in a week long of traditional Bengali fervour with the best of delicacies spread across  A la Carte platters fit for a king. The menu will feature the likes of  Ankuri Chola Ar Chicken Chaat, Sonali Chingri, Doi Ilish, Mangshor Chop, Khashir Steamer Curry, Kacha Lanka Mmurgi , Chocolate Patishapta and Pan Ice cream among others. The festivities will commence for dinner from Monday till Sunday between 7pm – 11pm; while the weekends will see an additional lunch between 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm (Friday to Sunday) respectively. There will also be a ‘ Special Bengali Brunch’ on April 19th at INR 1000 plus taxes per person.
